Instant excitement overwhelmed the crew
It was a juvenile whale shark about 20 feet long. Time felt like it stood still as it effortlessly glided past us. Following a respectful distance away we were mesmerized by the sheer size and behaviour of this shark. Upon returning to the boat, we found ourselves unable to contain our excitement. The surge of adrenaline from experiencing such a moment, coupled with the sheer uniqueness of the wild interaction, compelled us to share our experience. We felt a deep need to show others the beauty and wonder of the marine world.
Following that unforgettable encounter in 2017,
