Whether it's more sea lion encounters or coastal kayaking, we work closely with you to plan an expedition that exceeds expectations and remains flexible to adapt to weather and conditions.

  • Morning: Depart from La Paz and set sail towards Ensenada Grande on Isla Partida. Enjoy a continental breakfast onboard and a safety briefing from our experienced crew.

    Afternoon: Take part in a hands-on knot-tying workshop with our deckhand, followed by a delicious onboard lunch. Learn about basic sailing techniques and navigation from our captain as we cruise along the coastline.

    Evening: Anchor under the starry sky at Ensenada Grande for dinner and relaxation. Join our onboard naturalist for a stargazing session, where you'll learn about the constellations visible in the night sky and their significance to maritime navigation.

  • Morning: Wake up to breakfast and snorkel with friendly sea lions at Los Islotes.

    Afternoon: Lunch onboard, followed by a hike on San Francisco Island with a marine biologist guide, who will discuss the island's ecology and the behaviour of the local sea lion population.

    Evening: Dinner onboard as we share stories under the stars.

  • Morning: Enjoy breakfast before embarking on a guided kayak tour through mangroves on San Jose Island. Learn about mangrove ecosystems and their importance to marine life from our expert guide.

    Afternoon: Picnic lunch and exploration of Isla Pardito's rich history and marine life with a focus on coral reef conservation efforts.

    Evening: Attend an educational session led by a marine biologist, discussing marine conservation challenges and solutions.

  • Morning: Enjoy breakfast before a scenic hike on Isla San Jose, led by a naturalist guide who will highlight the island's geological features and unique flora.

    Afternoon: Lunch onboard, then snorkel at Punta Colorada with a marine biologist who will point out various species and discuss coral reef health.

    Evening: Sunset cocktails and a presentation by our onboard naturalist on marine biodiversity and the importance of sustainable tourism practices.

  • Morning: Start the day with breakfast and snorkeling at Isla San Francisco. Join a guided snorkeling tour led by a marine biologist, who will identify marine species and discuss their ecological roles.

    Afternoon: Return to Los Islotes for further exploration with opportunities for hands-on learning activities such as marine species identification and coral reef monitoring.

    Evening: Gather for a sunset briefing and themed dinner with a presentation by a guest speaker on marine conservation initiatives in the Sea of Cortez.

  • Morning: After breakfast, swim with gentle whale sharks at El Mogote. Learn about whale shark biology and conservation efforts from our onboard marine biologist.

    Afternoon: Lunch onboard, followed by optional activities such as marine photography workshops or a beach cleanup initiative.

    Evening: Farewell dinner onboard with a special presentation by our marine biologist, reflecting on the highlights of the trip and discussing ways to continue supporting marine conservation efforts.

  • Morning: As our journey draws to a close, we bid farewell to the sun-kissed shores of Baja California. Departure options include a relaxing beach morning / early afternoon at Balandra Beach or a morning departure, allowing for one final glimpse of the region's natural splendour as you take the shuttle back to San Jose Cabo Airport for your flight home.

Step aboard the "Adventure," a vessel renowned for its seaworthiness and safety standards approved by the Mexican Coast Guard. Equipped with state-of-the-art electronics and safety gear, our liveaboard ensures your peace of mind as you embark on your marine odyssey. Stretching 100 feet in length, the "Adventure" welcomes up to 20 guests, offering both air-conditioned cabins for two and spacious quarters for four. With daily housekeeping and pristine amenities, rest assured, your comfort is our top priority.

The Adventure has a great selection of cabins, each thoughtfully designed to provide a cozy but airy feel. Dive into plush bedding, with ample storage space, and enjoy refreshingly cold A/C. San Jose del Cabo International Airport is the closest international airport to where we launch from! Arrange your flights to arrive at SJD, and leave the rest to the LSF Expeditions team. Upon arrival, our welcoming staff will be there to greet you and transport you comfortably to the vibrant city of La Paz, Mexico, where your
expedition begins.

  • Upon submitting your booking inquiry, our team will reach out to you to discuss minimum payment options. We typically require a deposit of 35% to secure your spot, with the remaining balance due closer to the expedition date. Group sizes, time of year and customized itinerary are all factors in minimum payments.

  • Our staff will contact you shortly after you make a booking request, during our initial email we will give payment options depending on group size and time of year.

  • While travel insurance is not mandatory, we highly recommend it to protect your investment and provide coverage for unforeseen circumstances.

  • There may be age restrictions for certain expeditions, depending on the activities involved. Our team will provide guidance on age suitability for each expedition.

  • In the event of adverse weather conditions, our experienced guides will assess the situation and make necessary adjustments to the itinerary to ensure safety and enjoyment for all participants.

  • While some expeditions may require a moderate level of fitness, others are suitable for participants of varying fitness levels. Our team will provide guidance on the fitness requirements for each expedition.

  • We recommend booking your expedition as soon as possible to secure your spot, as space is limited and our trips often fill up quickly. However a minimum of 45 days is needed to organize and make sure your expedition is completely perfect and unforgettable!

  • Our cancellation policy varies depending on the expedition type and timing. Please reach out to us through our contact us form for specific details.

  • Flights, personal expenses, meals outside of the expedition (before arriving onto the vessel, after leaving the vessel).

  • Our expeditions typically visit the stunning destinations of the Sea of Cortez, including remote islands, vibrant coral reefs, and diverse marine habitats.

  • Our expeditions typically last for 6 unforgettable days, offering ample time for exploration and adventure in the Sea of Cortez.

  • Included activities range from snorkeling in vibrant coral reefs with large pelagic animals to kayaking through mangrove forests and hiking along picturesque coastal trails.

  • Want more whale shark time? Want to dance more with sea lions? Totally okay with us! The weeks leading up to your expedition we will be in contact to make sure we completely optimize your time with us to be truly unforgettable.

  • From the first night you arrive to the breakfast on the day you fly back home, you will be well fed! Breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course LOTS of snacks and beverages throughout the voyage!

  • While we provide basic snorkeling gear (mask, snorkel), you're welcome to bring your own for a personalized fit and experience. We do not provide fins!

  • We prioritize safety during expeditions and have trained staff who adhere to strict safety protocols. This includes regular safety briefings, emergency procedures, and equipment checks.
